Eagerly awaiting Early Decision (ED) application updates? Here are answers to some of your questions:
Q: When will I find out my admissions decision?
A: Early Decision notifications will be released on Friday, December 11, 2015, around 3:00 p.m. Eastern. You will receive an email letting you know admissions decisions are available to view.
Q: How do I access my decision?
A: We’re sending an email to ALL applicants around November 30 that will include detailed instructions for accessing the admissions decision site. When you receive the email, carefully follow the set-up instructions to ensure the process goes smoothly on December 11. If you get stuck or run into problems, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call our office at (410) 516-8171 and we’ll assist you.
Q: How do I know if my application is complete?
A: We’ve contacted all students who were missing items from their applications. If you haven’t heard from us, your application is complete.
Q: If I’m experiencing problems accessing my decision, will someone at Johns Hopkins be able to answer my questions?
A: On December 11, staff members will be available until 4:30 p.m. Eastern to assist students who are having problems accessing their decisions. Any other questions will be addressed during normal business hours the following week.
Q: What should I do if I didn’t receive an email with my log-in information?
A: If you didn’t receive the email around November 30 with your log-in information, try the following:
- Check all email accounts, including your parents’ and any others you might’ve used throughout your college application process. We’ll send all official communications to the email you supplied on your application.
- Check your spam/junk folders. Sometimes (rarely, but sometimes) our emails get caught up in spam filters.
- For Gmail users: Check your promotions tab.
- If you still can’t find the email, call us at (410) 516-8171 or email us at email@example.com and we’ll assist you.
For those of you who have already or are planning to apply Regular Decision, the deadline is Monday, January 4.
